So... I was having a look in my -okay, i admit it- super full wardrobe: all those pieces, I hadn't worn for two or three (maybe four) seasons now... Always thinking of "maybe if I lose 3 kilos those jeans would suit me again" or "But I adore that dress maybe it is not too short if worn as a tee" or "Come on, it's all about recycling, if Thalia can make treasures out of her dad's tees and her granny's lace underwear why can't I?" and, oh well, you get the point, clothes and shoes and accessories are much more than useful items, are more or less sentimental pieces that remind us periods of our life, endless kisses in the backyard, crazy night-out parties ... the story of our life.
And no matter how good people we are, sometimes we don't feel like giving them away to charity, so we end up stuffing up our closets waiting for them to become ...vintage (!) or us to get rid of those 3 kilos... ;)

This is how the story goes...
After several discussions with Melroy and Thalia from Life in Athens, we are proud to announce (and invite you of course) to the First Clothing Exchange in Athens! :)) Picture it out as a night out gathering, with frozen lemonade, jelly - mellows, chatting around, having fun and swapping our unwanted clothes! The point is to get to know each other (okay I know some of us have already met), have fun, see our unwanted clothes going to a good home and returning to ours with a bunch of new stuff - without spending a single euro. Sounds tempting, no?
Rules...
Okay there are no rules, but... some tips to make "the game" fair!
1. 9-15 people. You can book your place now, just leave a comment to tell! First comment, first served :)
2. Send us an email, with your cell no, so we will call you to confirm your attendance a few days in advance. If you see you cannot make it, please do tell us in advance so we can get someone else at your place!
3. Everyone should come with at least one large bag of clothes and accessories (shoes, hats, belts, etc.) 9-15 pieces approximately.
4. All remaining clothes will go to charity. Hosts will take care of it :)
The game
What we will basically do is collect all clothes and accessories in piles, covered by a blanket and at an agreed time we will reveal the treasures. All girls are allowed to take up to 9-15 pieces. If you got it first from the pile, its yours. You try it on, either you keep it or back to the pile (maybe someone else would make the best out of your left overs!)
Where & When
The "game" will be held between 26-30 of August, so we can all be tanned, relaxed and back from our holidays! Feel free to comment on your day of preference. Final date and place will be posted soon, according to most attendances.
Looking forward to your feedback :)
Clemmie, Melroy, Thalia
